Mathesons
At Mathesons Bay you swim out to a rocky islet 200 metres from the beach . The horizon is at waist level and beyond is open sea.
It is a small self place, wide open to the sky with the full force of the ocean close by.

These are drawings done in Paris in 2025. Drawing the nude ‘model vivant’ every day is a challenge which I like. Matisse drew from life everyday.
You sit down and draw each day and gradually the hesitation and doubt you felt at the beginning no longer plague you - you just do the work .
